Revenue Appeals Division

Ministry of Finance & Public Service · Jamaica

The Revenue Appeals Division is pleased to announce enhanced service commitments for the 2025 calendar year. Building on a decade of independent service, RAD has introduced updated performance targets to ensure faster and more efficient resolution of tax disputes.

Key enhancements include a commitment to acknowledge receipt of all Notices of Appeal within 5 business days, a target to schedule initial case management hearings within 30 days of filing, and continued investment in the online portal to streamline document submission and case tracking.

“Our goal is to ensure that every taxpayer who comes before RAD receives a fair, timely, and well-reasoned determination,” said the Chief Commissioner. “These updated standards reflect our commitment to continuous improvement.”

RAD encourages all taxpayers with outstanding tax disputes to review the appeals process and file within the statutory deadline (90 days from the decision date, or 30 days after receipt).
