Data Sharing & Disclosure

  • Revenue Commissioners: Information may be shared with Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) or the Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) as part of the appeals process.
  • Ministry of Finance & the Public Service: As RAD operates under the Ministry, certain administrative or reporting information may be shared as required.
  • Courts of law: Where an appeal is escalated or a court order is issued, information may be disclosed to the relevant court.
  • Law enforcement: Information may be disclosed if required by law, regulation, or lawful government request.
Data Security

Data Retention & Security

RAD retains personal information in accordance with the following guidelines:

  • Appeal records: Retained in accordance with government record-keeping requirements and applicable legislation.
  • Web server logs: Retained for up to 12 months, after which they are securely deleted.
  • Contact form submissions: Retained for up to 24 months, after which they are securely deleted.

To protect your information, RAD employs a range of security measures, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmitted through our website
  • Access controls to limit who can view or process personal data
  • Regular staff training on data protection and information security best practices
