Commissioner, Revenue Appeals Division
Deloree Staple-Chambers
DBA, MSc, BBA
As Commissioner of the Revenue Appeals Division, Deloree Staple-Chambers leads Jamaica's only independent statutory appellate body for tax disputes, ensuring that every aggrieved taxpayer, importer/exporter, and landholder who appeals a decision of Tax Administration Jamaica, the Jamaica Customs Agency, or the National Land Agency receives a fair, impartial, and timely hearing.
She brings to this role more than three decades of experience in taxation, having begun her career in 1995 as a trained Revenue Agent. She went on to serve at the senior executive level in the Customs administration for a combined eight years, before taking up her current position as Commissioner of Revenue Appeals in 2011.
Staple-Chambers holds a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, a Master of Science in Computer-Based Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Finance and Accounting.
She is guided by a simple professional philosophy: to impact neighbour, community, and the nation through acts of service excellence and purposeful duty—a commitment that continues to shape the Division's work under her leadership.
